hi all
when you do a job that only requires a minor works certificate and you need r1+r2 reading say for a extra socket, do you just test the new cable going to the new socket for r1+r2 or go round the ring?
with the first one could'nt you just do an earth loop test at the socket your coming off to make sure there is an earth path.

When you add a new socket you have to do a r1+ r2 for the whole circuit as this is the resistance if a fault accured.............
