My mate has converted a bathroom into a wet room etc. He has not installed any new circuits but moved old circuits (lighting) Sockets from a bedroom.

He has converted the bedroom into a wet room.

Does he need a part p cert or will a minor works cert be ok as he has added no more circuits ?

Also does a wet room need a part p cert ?

any electrical work done in bathrooms, shower rooms, wetrooms is notifiable under part poo, sorry, p

Hmmmmmmmmm Just thought of something.

If its just moving sockets to another room and replacing switch and light fitting to comply with bathroom, would it still be notifiable under part p ?

Or can he just do a minor works cert ?

So he as removed the sockets from the former bedroom which is now the wetroom.

He as removed the ceiling rose from the former bedroom and fitted a new IP rated bathroom fitting.

He as removed the surface fitted light switch from the bedroom wall and either moved it outside the door or as fitted a pull switch.

He as not fitted a fan. He as not in fact put downlighters in and therefore installed more cable.

He as not fitted a heated towel rail or shaver socket.

He as bonded all the pipework within the now shower room that needs to be bonded. In fact if all this is correct then only have to write a MIEWC for the bonding. I doubt even you have to notify this as it would all come under maintenace and if you phoned the LABC they may tell you the same. Thoughphone them and see
