Hi

I am doing minor works on houses for a government department. The work is simple replacement of sockets and switches after wall rendering. They have asked for MWC. Some of the installations I am visiting are old and do not have RCD protection. Can I proceed with the minor works and note this on the form ?

Thanks Trev

I know that that is the case. However the 'Body' has specced it as requiring a MWC. Thats what my issue is. How can I issue a minor works on an installation that is not up to current regulation ?

I would note on the cert that the current installation does not have rcd protection. It is not down to you to change this as you have not done any major works you have only replaced facias?
I would note it in the comments of the current installation.
