Folks. I have a Mira Jump electric shower and it has been working fine till the other day when it switched off after two minutes on the high setting. It works on the Eco setting with lower temp water.
The plumber advised it may be best to get a new shower which we did, exactly the same..Problem is the same issue so its not the shower (remember the shower was working fine for 3 years previous ). Continuity tests from the pull cord to the shower show connection and we are getting cotninuity through the switch.
Water pressure is fine by the way.
Any ideas please.
Many thanks.

Any kind of poor connection (as opposed to open circuit) on the supply to a high current device, such as your shower, tends to identify itself in a fairly short period of time. It'll be where the smoke and flames are coming from.
Since the shower is working on the low setting, we know the supply's not open circuit, so it has to be the shower itself that is faulty, UNLESS you have strangely wired showers in the US, where one element works off of one 120 volt phase, and the other element works off of the other, in which case it could be one phase open circuit in the supply.
