MK IINM Consumer unit

morning all,

went to look at a grant job last night, they are asking for a shower to be installed, i said they'd be better off installing a new consumer unit unless RCBO are avaiable for the current one. its a MK IINM which apparently is also the same as the siemens stratum 200 series. is it possible to get and rcbo in this units? either the same make or any make that would fit? thanks for your helps guys!

I had one of those in my house (Siemens Stratum), and was told that there were no RCBO's that fit, as they stick out too much, and the front flap cannot be shut.
However, once I had bought a new CU, I found a Wylex RCBO was a good fit in the Siemens CU.
Try it first as there were a few different versions of the MK casing.

Hi

you could use a mcb in the consumer unit then feed the circuit through a seperate rcd in an enclosure.
