Hi guys,
might sound like a bit of strange one but has anyone had any problems getting the fuse carrier to pop out with the MK Masterseal FCU's?
I'm having to change the supplied 13A fuse with a 5A fuse for a light, and cannot get the damn thing to pop out!

It has a screw on the carrier, I have tried applying quite a bit of pressure whilst unscrewing it, to no luck. It just clicks after a certain amount of turns and goes no further.

Has anyone else had such probs? Have also tried levering another screwdriver underneath the carrier whilst my mate tries to unscrew it.
Think there maybe a joke coming... how many electricians does it take to change a fuse!!

Thanks for any suggestions...

Toby :)

Can't say i've seen or ever heard of a specific problem with them. Probably just a one off, and you happened to get the bad one of the batch.

Power off, lump hammer out and a trip to the wholesaler for a new-one :) ...or you could just disconnect the FCU and replace it lol.

Sorted it now, Had to apply a LOT of force by putting another screwdriver underneath the carrier whilst unscrewing eventually came out!

I initially thought it maybe a bad batch too... Think I was afraid of busting a £15 FCU :S

Cheers for the help :)

yes, MK spurs are rubbish with regards to getting the fuses out !!

only thing good about mk is the terminals.. all facing the same direction, in a straight line. nice to terminate into

That's the reason I keep using them. Once you realise that you have to pry the carrier open with one screwdriver, whilst undoing the screw with another, it's a piece of cake :)
