I seen it before - animals!
Just make sure that the contract / project manager does'nt blame you for not providing adaquate protection of your works

I normally have rows with the plasterer that a builder i work for uses,, because i like to cut out downlighter holes out before they plaster as any mistakes can be sorted easy. but he cries that the plaster falls out of the holes onto his head.. they have such an easy job and they still dont own a screwdriver to loosen sockets they plater up to them,,,

I had a plasterer once who plastered a first fixed wall with sockets and a 10gang switch on, everything was plastered smooth with no indication of the location of the switch or sockets we returned to site a day or so later to find this problem I suggested to the plasterer who was still on site that he should locate the boxes. He said that was my problem and the ensueing arguement brought the site agent as I was about to remove most of the plaster on the wall the arguement escalated when we found the switch as all the marks on the cables had been removed as the plasterer had cut all the cables ( some to short ) so he didn't have to plaster round them had the last laugh as they had to pay for the extra work caused

Do tell the project manager as plasterers will not be on his most favoured list trust me been there and seen it all. Had a plasterer on site once who didnt fill the back boxes in, but he did cut all the tails back to the grommits. i did have a bit of a hissy fit, lol. so did he when i gave him the bill for having all the first fix done again.
