Me Granny used to follow the rag man's horse & cart all ower Dunston wi' her bucket & shovel and she had the best show o' roses in the street.

Last time I made that mistake I ended-up with a wife. How was I - a simple Geordie - to know I should have gone down the bridle way??

Horses are not allowed on footpaths!

If you wish to drive or ride down unmade roads you need to find the byeways open to all traffic (BOATs) or other routes with public access (ORPAs)
But don't expect to get a normal car down them, some of the ones around here are quite challenging for us in the landrovers!

How come if you do work on somebodys house and they wont pay when they agreed it becomes a civil matter and yet if I go to Tesco and try to nick a bottle of whisky the plods are there in an instant?
