efficiency when factored in will increase that figure0.85 amps assuming a power factor of 0.85
What should the overload be set to for a three phase 0.5kW motor?
overload
500 watts / (1.732 x 400v x 0.8) = 0.9 amps approx
This has not factored in the efficiency of the machine which will not be 100% obviously so set the overload at 1.0 amps.

HI, can you tell me where you get the 0.8 figure from and what it is, thanks, Matt.
