Hiya All

I have a friend who wants his consumer unit replacing, this will be my first since passing exams,(loads of other electrical work but just not done a cu yet). The problem i have is its in the garage and mounted on a wooden beam, i will have to move it to the wall just below so its possible i may need to extend the cables. Can i just use butt connectors or is there a better way?

Thanx for any advice:)
