moving a head how prices have changed

I did a job for my father in law who's a builder a little while ago, now the last time i was on a job that required a head moving, which if i remember rightly was about 10m away from its original position it cost 500 pounds this time the electrical board charged 1000pounds and it was moved about a meter away
