Hi there need some advice customer wants consumer unit moved in to next room about 10 meters away, but the main 100 amp head where it is, how do I go about doing this? What cable? Size ? main switch by new fuse box ?henly block? Service earths new position? Any suggestions would be great I'm trying to convince to keep it where it is no joy.
Thank you in advance .

Personally would not bury the cable as it would need RCD protection

Either run some plastic trunking with 25mm^ L/N as it's an 100amp head with a 16mm^ E or a 2 core 25mm^ SWA but that could be expensive. AT the meter end you will need to fit quite a substantial fused switched unit, I'd go with a BS 88-2 protection device but you will need to do the calculations to make sure you meet disconnection times.
