Hello, been and looked at a job today and they want their CU moving a foot or 2, what would be the best and safest way to extend cables if needed?? JB's??

just twist the existing cables together with some bell wire... then use some masking tape to insulate the connection.

I crap you not, i just looked at a job today that had exactly this.

Either crimp more tails onto end of existing tails to reach, and use amalgamating tape and heat shrink to cover join, or terminate existing tails into some service block, and whack new tails in from service block to CU.
