Chaps,

We're just looking at a system which has 3-phase coming into the building but only one phase in use & metered (picture shown). We'd like to re-enable the 3-phase.

I'm thinking we need to contact our energy supplier to ask them to put in a 3 phase meter and then install a new 3 phase Distribution Board ourselves (?)

Would we then move all the existing single phase circuits out of the old Consumer Unit to the new Distribution Board or can we just hook the Consumer Unit as a whole off of the new Dist Board or perhaps off one of the 3-phase tails? I guess there may be balance issues across the 3-phase if we were to keep the existing Con Unit on one phase only?

Thanks in advance

p.s. is that timer device at the top of the pic for Economy Seven?

Thanks in advance

No, I would say that Sangamo is more than likely for some external lights.

Why the need for 3 phase now then??? Additonal machinery???

Thanks Lenny.

My only concern if I move the existing circuits into the new Dist Board is that I guess I'd then need to test and certify each of those to 17th edition?

We're looking to install a Solar PV system on each of the phases. The system we'd like to install is too big for just the one phase..
