Hi.

I am asked to move a socket from one wall to another in a kitchen. No change to the wiring or accessories.
CU has semi-encloseds, TNS and no RCD protection.
I have recommended that the client wants to think about a new CU.

But they don't want to spend the money.

Don't want to walk away from potential job but also don't want to put on my Stetson and saddle up.

What would you suggest as the most cost effective solution?

Many thanks

Tony

Appreciate you are not changing the circuit but having moved a socket you really have to take responsibility for circuit and test etc etc then issue a certificate. That will mean RCD protection.
