I have been asked to move everything except the panels, from in a garage to the same wall inside the house, no cables need extending, Now I want to make it clear I do not "do" PV however it is more an obligement for a old chap I know, and having looked at it there is no real issues however if this is turned off for a period of several hours is there a issue with processor time out etc, the make is attec? as far as I remember fitted by Solar and Wind Applications,
any suggestions welcome

No reason i can see it to caus a problem, switch of AC first then DC - just check in the loft to see if there is another DC isolator and if so switch that off also (we install one in the loft also if inverter is in the garage) if there isn't then the cables will be live in the DC iso next to the inverter - in this scenario i would uncouple a connector under the panels to make sure the circuit is dead before moving.

Yes, disconnect both DC and AC, and a connector on the roof (they just pull apart). Any questions I'm sure the installer will be happy to advise/assist. Everything should start back up again when AC and DC are reconnected.

Be careful if you're going to disconnect just the one connector - if there is an earth fault onto the frame work then there could still be a dangerous potential on one of the cables.

I totally agree with the above, if you are not used to HV DC, get someone around who is, you could have over 500v DC with no protection, so if you get it wrong think of the arc that this would produce.
If it is local to you, pull it apart at night, and reconnect it at night, then you will be safe.
Take care.

I would hazard a guess your electrician may be able to contact your DNO and have the switch swapped to a MFS very quickly..
