hello all.

This is my first post so just like to say h first.

I am an electrician of some twenty years and am moving from north east scotland to gerrards cross bucks in April.I am a sole trader up here and want to continue that once down south.I am going to join the niceic domestic installer scheme as soon as I have enough jobs to inspect.I wondered if anyone could give me an idea what the labc in that area charge to inspect jobs. Also i have viewed a few threads on this forum about hourly rates and am unsure what i should charge as hourly rates up here are a lot lower and anyway I normally do pricework on rewires /new build etc.Am I correct in thinking that I do not need to be niceic etc to sign of commercial/industrial jobs. Its a bit of a downer that the niceic will not accept my 17th edition quals gained with select in scotland so I have to pay a substantial sum to do c&g 2382.
