A big gap in my knowledge (amongst others I can humbly admit !!) is boiler wiring.

I read in professional electrician magazine about mr combi courses.

As someone who knows not a lot about heating I was wondering if this course would be good to give me the basics. I can follow wiring diagrams but need to grasp the basics first.

Thanks peoples.

honeywell give free training, and lots of other people do so look at them before paying for some thing, at the end off day it all depends on what you want to learn, is it just to wire boiler controls or do you want to do fault finding on the boiler? if thats the case all boiler companies we give training for that most time it is free,

funnily enough i just went on the danfoss course. Is it really that easy in real life?! Well, i say "easy" but what I learnt was how to follow the wiring diagrams and we practiced on a real one that was livened up and mine all worked on both the 2 port and 3 port systems. HAWAY!!

I suppose from a sparks' point of view all you need to do is practice following the wiring diagrams and that's basically it right?! Anything more in depth and the customer will phone a heating engineer. Or am I being naive :) ?!!

After a bit more reading i feel loads more confident. Just need to do a couple being watched by heating engineer and i should be good to go. Course would be a waste of money i reckon. Save the money for my first fried pcb haha!!
