Not got a problem with them competition wise, but did have a problem just over a year ago with them harassing us to buy a franchise.
Would phone up daily, also sent us about 12 dvds and brochures
Salesman even turned up one day and wouldn't leave.. but than judging by his accent he had come all the way from ireland

To be fair there only as bad as the franchise holder however they have got ait of a reputation for wearing chaps, spur's and big hat's -- make of that what you will.

I have had the misfortune to have to sort out their mess....niceic didnt want to know and thats who they are registered with.

CU swap, circuit identification (incorrect) on a bit of cardboard taped to lid. no warning notices or mcb/rcd instruction stickers, i wont even go into the faults that i found on the install, and all the made up test results etc etc .

Even John Wayne would have done a better job.

I wouldn't touch the mess they left when I was called out, I suggested the customer call them back,
I gave them a list of the mess they had made, never heard from them again.

i used to work for a Mr Electric for all of 3 days!!! gave van back and uniform!!! never again! it was a sales outfit covered up by electrical work!! we were encouraged to sell Box and bonding at every job!! also had to fill in a Engineers report that highlighted any potential sales opportunitys!! this was sent to a bunch of self employed sales men who used to call round and make any cock n bull up and seel work!!! a friend of mine (used to work with them also as the QS) fille din teh report and wrote in CAPITAL LETTERS " REWIRE ONLY" then underlined it and highlighted it!! the cables were Rubber and had no earth.... the sales man went round and sold a box and Bond.......WTF.!!!!

I thought Mr Electric were NICEIC approved Steve?

Not All..... they "LIKE" you to be NIC registered but the bloke i was with Set up with Elecsa as they were more helpful and the QS prefered elecsa to the NIC from previous dealings / Employment.
