presumably £4.5k would mean dirt cheap kit thrown on the roof by installers working without any scaffolding or edge protection at all, cheap everything, and install team probably expected to be doing 2 jobs per day to make up their day rate.
any customer who wants that sort of carry on going on isn't a customer we'd want to work for tbh
That's precisely what we say. When we do a job, the finished results is on our shoulders. Do people on a price per job have the same care? Of course not.
I think the risk again is on the investor only.
Did he will take, more expensive offer for a better materials and professional design and work or take the cheapest offer from someone just to put panels on the roof. I saw many stupid system that didn't work at max - just generating something.
I think the investors will make good decisions after they start to compare the yield on each other.
And they have to read and ask more, on this forum, not to talk only with sales men.
Yeah we have been coming up against tuff competition still managing to pull around 5.5k for a 4kw. One company I am not going to mention has been dogging us something rotten, in fortunately tomorrow they are getting reported to Recc, mcs, and there governing body along with a solicitors letter, either that or I do 5 years for gbh
