how do you use a multimeter to find the switch wire if you have 3 black wires which arent identified with tape
 
replacing normal halogen light unit with ceiling rose. got 3 sets of cables but 3 blacks arent identified and cant get into loft to see where wires go so thought u cud identify switch wire with a multimeter

If your unsure mabe you shouldnt be trying to sort this but here goes. My fellow sparks may not recomend this but i've tried swich of the mains and i mean all of it, the whole house that is. .............sorry m8 think this is gonna get silly for ya and im gonna get it the neck.:(
