I'm rewiring a terraced house in Liverpool, It is currently two bed but will be 3 when complete and will be let to students. Downstairs 2 communal living rooms, a kitchen and a hallway. Upstairs 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and a landing. The property will be let to 3 students.

How many interlinked smoke alarms will the property need and in what location to forfil the requirements for a landlords certificate??

I'm led to believe as long as there is less than 5 occupants then one on each hallway/landing is enough????????

If it's less than 5 occupants, less than 3 floors and not a huge floor area, then I don't think there are any special requirements.

Is there a door on the kitchen? If not, then you need a heat detector in the kitchen.
