MWC or EIC for new wall lights

Hello everyone

Fitting some new wall lights off downstairs light circuit, there is no RCD protection on the circuit so therefore replacing MCB with a RCBO. Am I right in thinking I have to issue an EIC as I have changed the characteristics of the circuit.

nope. you have altered the circuit, so a MWC is appropriate.

Agree with the above. You haven't altered the OCPD characteristics by adding RCD protection, so MWC.
