MWC - Required or not - LED Light fittings

I've recently upgraded some light fittings that are probably 15-20 years old in an industrial unit to LED fittings

• 150W Low bay LED's internally

• 80w LED light fittings with separate photo-cells on external lighting column opposite warehouse.

Is there a requirement to issue a MWC

i would. with test readings of the circuit/s to ensure compatibility with the new LED fittings and compliance with BS7671.

Has the wiring been altered? If not then no (unless the client has requested one), although appropriate inspection and testing must still have been carried out.

No wiring has changed

If you decide not to, though I would be inclined to due to testing, you could add test results to invoice so that it is recorded. MWCs are usually quick to produce and carry the results in appropriate boxes.

I would consider changing current using equipment an alteration to a circuit and issue a MWC.

It’s not required by BS7671.
Would probably help to tick some boxes under CDM Regulations.
Could make a mention in the invoice about ‘tests conducted to verify suitability of circuit/installation for replacement of fittings’.

Not really, unless all your invoices just state the price and don’t detail what it’s for.
My invoices say things like:
2 X Light fittings £490.
Labour 2 hours £100.
Parking £2.30.
Sundries £5.00.
Verification tests £25.

I never said anything about putting test results on the invoice.
