Hi all,
I'm brand new to electrical work and a local electrician has agreed to let me work with them to gain some experience.
They also suggested that instead of doing the level 2/3 and NVQ etc, that I could consider gaining some work experience and then when competent doing the competence course in Installation and Testing of Electro-Technical systems (link included below).
NAPIT have it listed as one of the qualifications they'll accept to join their competent person scheme.
Has anyone ever done this? It appears to have been introduced late last year for experienced electricians. Its City and Guilds accredited.
