NAPIT Full Electrical Member interview

Hi,

I am about to have my NAPIT Full Electrical Member (Competent Persons Scheme) application to join the scheme visit (I have just applied for membership/accreditation).

What sort of technical questions can I expect during the interview/visit, I know that they inspect a piece of work and view documents and certificates etc, but would like some idea of the range of general technical questions they might ask?

Any help appreciated.

Normally very basic stuff like demonstrate safe isolation do various tests Ze Zs R1 R2 etc

RCD trip times
Joists holes and notches
Chases horizontal and vertical
Energy efficency
Zones in the bathroom


That sort of thing

I know a classic question to try and catch you out is the old Voltage of dogems

50v ac
120v dc

I think... If I've got it wrong then hay ho just had the NIC assesment so should be ok till next Jan and maybe I'll remember.

But I shouldn't worry to much if you get that one... or another obscure question wrong

I'll have to decide who gonna join soon. I hesitate between Elecsa and Napit. Just wondering what job You are showing to NAPIT's assessor?
