....... because we'd not put a 'solar pv on roof' sticker on the mains incomer and our deadline to correct this was today.

oops.

Luckily the customer wasn't on holiday so we got it done tonight, but that gave me a minor case of squeeky bumcheeks.

we did have a dual supply sticker, and the diagram, and the entire PV connection unit with elios etc all stickered up within a foot of the cut out, but apparently some doufus might still manage to not figure it out unless there's that specfic sticker there.

as if we didn't have enough to deal with right now.

yeah, our inspection itself was fine, but the installatoin just had the stickers missing.

The guy who was sorting it out didn't realise about that sticker, so we were under the assumption it was all sorted until an email this morning stating that we still had that non-conformity to resolve.

pain in the backside.

in other news I've got the council attempting to get me to cap all the external traywork on 3 jobs we're doing for them because of concerns about uv exposure and seagull droppings impact on the exposed solar PV cables. Hopefully the manufacturers giving a 25 year warranty on the cables for installation in exactly that way will ensure sense prevails.

Did I see some of your boys last week on Middleton Health Centre with Futurasun panels? You really need to introduce catching training for the guys in the orange tops as I watched one of them ---- a spanner to the other and he was like an England slip fielder!

yeah that was us, probably my brother doing the catching, he always was a bit rubbish at catching.

don't blame us for the panel choice, someone in the council apparently thinks they're better able to spec pv equipment than us. We're merely installing the stuff.
