Hi all.

I changed light switches in a house yesterday (2 way) she says when she tryed to turn lights on with one it didnt work and when she tryed again she heard a "crackling" noise. Anyone know what would cause this?

I tryed the switches before i left, they were fine, and am 100% sure they are in the correct terminations.

Just trying to get advice before I make the 40 minute drive back to her house !

If you're sure the connections are correct, that only leaves a faulty switch

sound like u will have to go bak with some spare switches then if they were working before u left. if u are sure the wiring is ok then i agree that it does point to a bad switch or loose connection?

life in the fast lane eh! tell her u will go this aft as im sure she does not need the lights today??!!!!..........then u can work that beer off in the cafe?!

i'd check connections. screw clamped on insulation, broken end of a cable, insulation breakdown on entry to back box, then switch. also check connections at fitting for similar.
