Need Electrician to make led vests for sheep

Hi There,

I'm producing a video for a science television channel. We need someone in Wales to make several led vests for sheep. These vests would need to have the christmas light variety leds that are powered by batteries. I need about 15-25 made as well as a sparky for the day.

Any advice or interested parties, please let me know. I've attached a picture for reference.

Depends on how many you can make. Can you give me a quote on part and labour and then the fee for the day or two of work for our shoot day?

sorry ill have to decline as i would not know how to price the job and would not want to fleece you.and would not know how to certify it

If you can determine how much the product would cost for each vest and perhaps build one to see the time we can then determine how much it will cost.

As for certifying...i have no idea. We have a few of the vests that were manufactured and used before...

i can just imagine putting a claim in on your public liability insurance saying 'sheep caught fire after dead short on led vest' ha ha

Maybe your best bet would be to try an electronics forum mate

Are we all going to see you in the dragons den soon if so hope youve already got the patent for the idea, at least the hustlers will find it easier to track them down.
As a guide ive already seen them in dog collars maybe you want to look into that line for results.

Should be simple enough to copy if you already have one.LEDs are very low voltage and current and probably wired series parallel.Can't quite see the details but looks like they are on plastic netting?

it all depends on how much you want to spend.

ultra bright or low power, SMD or through hole. Single colour, what colour or tri colour

Its a simple enough circuit, few hundered leds per sheep some small li-ion batts maybe a voltage reg, smoothing caps and resistors to limit the current draw.

Are you after remote control for the vests ? should they be single , bi colour or try colour led's
how long do you want them to stay on for ? Do you already have the vests made ?
If this is not a wind up, them more info would be good.
