I am replacing my bathroom fan. I forgot to take a picture of the wiring. Each component (heater, light, fan) will be on its own switch . I have 2 white which look like they were split from one wire, 1 black , 1 green and 1 red coming from the ceiling. On the fan side I have red and white from heater ,blue and white from light, black and white from fan.I just need to know which wire goes where. Thanks.

Can you put a pic up but it is likely to be difficult to predict from afar which wire did what. Have you looked inside the switches to maybe verify the wires.

I only took motor and light out of old one. The red wire from heater is connected to red wire coming from ceiling. There is 2 black and 2 white coming from ceiling
Here is wiring instructions

Now that I look closer it is 2 white wires and the insulation melted together at the end to make it look like a double wire. Looks like I don’t need to connect anything else to the red wires. Just not sure where the other wires go. From what I read the whites go with the whites and blacks go with the black wires . Not sure about the blue

You would assume white is neutral and blacks hot but it is impossible to be certain from a distance.

If that was the case where would blue wire go? I keep reading the blue and red should go with red wire. But I don’t think that’s how it was before

The instructions indicate blue, black and red for the unit however this may not correspond with the wires from the ceiling.

As long as all the whites are connected together, you should be able to sort the others by experiment. If a particular switch controls the wrong thing, then you should be easily able to work out how they should have been.
