hi guys,

i am looking for some advice please. i have moved into a new house, once i had moved in a setup my tv and set top boxes and that i found i had a issue. the set top box i use to view my tv is a xtrend et 8000 and i found that when i was turning lights and plug sockets on and off it would for a second shut down the picture from the box. the box would still be working as i was able to change channel while the picture was off.

the box is connected to my sky cables coming from the sky dish and they look to be fine, i have now connected a different box and still have the same issue.

has anyone come across anything like this before and if so any idea what maybe causing it.

nothing else in the house appears to have the same issue

Do your house light dim if you turn on the ketal or vacume, if so you could have loose connection in your fuse board

i am in kings heath, i have not tried another tv without the issue.

It is worth just checking if ths tv is the problem maybe take it to mates house to check ,i mention about lights dimming as this is a sign of a loose connection in the fuse box
