Need some help.

To kick it off i'll tell you a little about myself, i'm an apprentice, been studying electrics for 2 years but only managed to get an apprenticeship 12 months ago. I'm studying through JTL and they have 90 underpinning knowledge questions (which i'm in the process of doing), but i'm stuck trying to find the answers for a couple of questions. So i'll be mainly using this forum to pick your brains and hopefully joining in with some topics .
Hope everyone can help me.
Anyway heres my question for now, well part of a question...
"what are the limitaions of; switchgear, control systems and panels"

Umm....They depend upon someone being able to interpret and operate them....perhaps?

more like need someone to understand the question. as i see it, the limitations of the afore mentioned pieces of equipment are that they are limited to do what they have been designed to do. they can't fly and they can't make the tea

A guess is that limitations will be set by manufacturer, current rating, type, etc

You say "part of the question". Give us the full question, and we maybe able to shed some light on the matter.

The whole question is... "What are the common types, their advantages and limitations of wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment."

Its easy to find advantages of switchgear as the manufacturers brag about them on every site i've visited, its the disadvantages i am having problems with.
I have answered the first part of the question adv and dis of both wiring systems and enclosures, but as i said previously the equipment is causing me some trouble. Any help would be an enormous help.
