Posted to a question about Bs7671 in pdf format earlier this week, and have got it now along with some other bits n bobs, but have recieved so much interest it would be easier if i hosted it on fileshack or similar, and posted link here is this a problem?

Also considering setting up own private ftp server to share out things like pdf files, test papers etc, but as said this would be private server so user/pass would be given out for access?

I cant really see a problem with posting a link to another area from here.

Obviously Dan would have the final say.

Is any of this material copywritten???

Did you get them from eBay?

It sounds like the same disc I have. It's handy having BS7671 in a word searchable format.

no mine from friend, along with loads of other books in pdf, also got loads of training papers, test papers editable invoices etc that users are always asking for just thought it would be easier to host things somewhere cause everytime someone asks for something you end up with 50 users asking for same file to be emailed across.

cant see a copywright violation as far as i know but then if theyre on external server shouldn be a prob, but best wait for Dan input methinks.

Is it even legal to do that? Don't get me wrong, I don't give a monkey's but I would be worried about the book police catching up with you....

It's not legal.

BS7671:2008 is a document under copyright. Try asking the IET if they mind but please post their reply!!

However, I do have a PDF copy for personal use which I don't feel guilty about seeing as I've bought two copies of BS7671:2008.

As said, "ripped" copyright material is not legal and therefore, would not be permitted to be posted on the forum.

However, there is the function of PM's which is handy.
