Neutral earth fault

Hav neutral earth fault on fire alarm loop all heads r on understand about halfing n quartering but wonder wat tester to use wat setting n wot results will tell me

Insulation test between earth and neutral(heads removed first) and start seperating the circuit down til you find the leg thats at fault, how do you know its a neutral/earth fault?

Alarm engineer said on loop has fault but wanted try it without heads removed as about 50 devices on loop

are there any call points on the circuit . do not do an insulation test unless you 100% there is nothing
connected. try removing all heads . and test each lenth of the cicuit with low ohms test meter.
12 volt equipment will not survive an insulation test
do a resistance test if you reading around 470 ohms your reading the resistor
