hi i,m an older student and have to do the am2 as part of my nvq, can anyone shed some light on whats expected any hints or tips appreciated

cheers for that i have already looked at that and been advised some of it is incorrect.

some centres do am2 prep courses for 100 dancers

I'm sure it was that website that used to have before and after pictures of what you had to do.
I printed them out but they're for the old AM2.

just out of interest, why do you need to do am2? couldnt you just complete nvq?

iv just done the 2356 nvq3 and didnt need to do the am2, got my cert no bother. but in the new 2357 you will need the am2 im led to believe.

i will answer that for him seen as im his guardian angel and signed his NVQ for him!

his college told him rather than 3 units for NVQ 3 he had to do 2 as the third would be the AM2 test wether he liked it or not. i could not understand it either as my NVQ was no AM2 involved...

surely his college is wrong? or trying to introduce 2357 before end of march deadline?
have you tried contacting city and guilds and asking why am2 needed?

have you got underpinning qualifications like 2360 etc?
that could be the answer?

he is in his final year of 2330 lev 3, he spoke to others but college insist that he has to take AM2, he paid for it today so no going back now!

thats the colleges outlook as well..

had he not signed up for NVQ at time of course he could have went to delta and did it with out the AM2!!
