New Build - 3 Storey Electrical Installation

I had a walk around the timber framed structure and collected the drawings this evening and now have to design the installation and provide a quote for materials (which will be paid for directly by the property owner) and agree my fee for carrying out the construction and arranging certification on completion.

If I am asked to carry out the installation then I look forward to posting my progress and photos of my work.

I may even have a few questions but I'm hoping that I will find the answers myself

Coz it's timber framed, it'll be dry lined with boards attached to the structure ... so watch the cable runs are deep enough from the surface ... IR test before 2nd fix

No specs as yet. It's going to be a rented property so there won't be anything flash going in. Obviously they want the standard amount of sockets per floor space in each room etc.

I'm just going to keep it real simple and if they wish to add to it then we can discuss and agree details before any work commences.

Easy to do, just wago/junction strip everywhere as necessary, do the IR test (and keep the results). When you come back, quick circuit check and you're either good to go or got a complaint to the foreman (with evidence). At least it shouldn't be your expense to sort it out!
