Hi everyone.
I bought a new ceiling light yesterday. I have taken the old one down. It's an ex council house.
There too many wires coming from the ceiling an not enough circuits.

Can an anyone advise me what to do?

there are two black wires, 1 red and an earth. In the new light, I only have space for 3 wires.

I take it you didn't take a pic of the wires going into the old light? If not then any chance of taking a pic of the old light and telling us what wire went where?

Or just call an electrician in. He will have the tools for checking what is what and sorting it out for you.
