Hi Everyone,

Have just bought a new Flavel Cooker and everything works ok until I switch on the fan oven and then the electric trips after a few seconds.

Any suggestions very much appreciated.

Henry

More info needed. Was this a new oven connected to an existing circuit?
If so are the 2 ovens the same IE like for like?
If it was a new circuit for the new oven was it installed and tested correctly?
It could be a fault on the fan but it's hard to say for definite from what you've said

Hi, Yes The old electric cooker was replaced by this one.
Yes like for like

Faulty fan on oven is most likely as you have probably worked out yourself. It could possibly be other things but that is most likely, without testing the circuit it is impossible to be sure

Some new ovens have bolts in the back, or clamps in the front to prevent the fan being damaged in transit, just like washing machines are locked down for the same reason. It might be worth checking the paperwork to get an indication if there are any steps that may have been missed when installing.

Have checked & no bolts or clamps, Thank you for your reply
