MK have designed a prototype CU for domestic use in follow on from the metal CU debacle. The lid has a multitude of posidrive heads, coupled via an 1000V insulated shaft, to all the Main Switch/RCD/Mcb Teminal screws. these heads are ground breaking technology as in that they contain a heat sensitive chemical which is green under normal temperature and pressure, but changes colour to red if the temperature exceeds 45 degrees C. there fore, any householder with a pozi screwdriver can thus tighten up any loose connections without the need to open the CU or phone an electrician. The estimated cost of a 10 way split CU is in the region of ÂŁ2495 inc. VAT. Oh, bugger. it was the first yesterday.
