Hi I was wondering during if any one had a eic that is already filled in as I have my am2 on Tuesday and I havnt even seen the new amendment 3 certs and I also havnt filled in a cert since September last year when I was at college and wanna make sure I havnt forgot any thing.

Thanks.

Do you have the on site guide? as this has example completed forms in it.
You can download the IET model forms from the IET website just to have a look over them and remind yourself of the information required.

Do remember that the forms from the self certification schemes will have a different layout but generally the same information (plus extra not needed information) just in case your training provider uses other forms.

You will need to brush up on the inspections schedule as this is new and requires attention to ensure you are only completing the relevant inspections for your installation.

Yes I have the green onsite guide book not the newest one and yeah I have downloaded the forms already and looked through them they seem much the same to what I remember.

I am pretty confident now on every thing except one thing and that is apparently I have to set the overload on the dol started but to be perfectly honest I don't have a clue how to do this as I don't work with motors and I have looked through my notes from college and can't seem to find any that mention this, I ha e also looked on here and there seems to be quite a bit of conflicting information so I'm gonna have to go to college on Monday and have a look through a few books to find out.

set the overload to FLC of the motor.

Yeah a lot of people said that and then said said plus ten percent and I even saw one that sa9d half it (but I very much doubt that is right)

I also saw one that said that cos it was 3 phase I had to divide it by the square root of 3 as well and I just don't know which one is correct

Also does it say the flc on the motor or do I just ha e to work it out my self.

if you know the current per phase, that's what you set the overload at. if you only know the watts then you need to calculate the current. I= P/(√3 x pf x V) where V is the line /line voltage
