Hi Guys,
Just gone and looked at replacing a fuse board as the client is having a new shower unit installed that needs a 13amp supply. As the fuse board is a old rewireable was going to replace with a new dual rcd board however after the following I.R test and the following results am now thinking of doing a new rccd board with and 16amp mcb for the shower unit and a 6amp mcb for a new circuit just for the lights so that they are protected in the bath room
Circuit 1 l-n >500.0 mohms,l-e >500mohms, n-e>500mohms
Circuit 2 l-n >132.0mohms,l-e126.7mohms,n-e47.4mohms
Circuit 3 l-n 0.50 mohms, l-e 5.31mohms,n-e 2.72mohms
Circuit 4 l-n 12.06 mohms,l-e 4.17mohms,n-e 14.96mohms
Circuit 5 l-n 0.81mohms,l-e 75.9 mohms,n-e77.9mohms
Have also still got to earth bond the main gas and water as not protection
Did recommend that some of the circuits are rewiredbut client can't afford for this to be done.
Any thoughts please
Many thanks
Pete
