Im changing a fuseboard, and the existing bonds are in 6mm green and yellow. the gas can be re-run in 10mm but the water is basically impossible. is there anyway around this?

Hi dave, if the earthing arrangement is TT or TN-S then 6mm is fine, if its colored green then thats just an advisory, if the earthing arrangement TN-C-S ideally you need to upgrade but if it is completely impossible then an advisory it mus be.
Regards

AJ

It depends on the size of the earthing conductor
if the earthing conductor is 16mm then the main bond should be 10mm
is it impossible to get access to the water pipe? or is the route impossible, if so can you route outside maybe in conduit, if so check the length won't cause its resistance to go over 0.05 ohms or you have to go up to 16mm
