New here need advice

Hi im new to this forum need some advice i have completed my level 2 (2330), completed my (2392 testing), currently doing my level 3 (2330), and have just started my NVQ 3.

I have had one years experiance as an apperintance but i am now going to be moving to South London as i currently live on the isle of wight. i have been looking for places to continue my NVQ but so far with no luck, I have just been told that in london i will not be able to work on sites without a cscs card is this correct? and can i apply for it as im not fully qualified.

Any information would be grateful and if you know of any companys in that area that would consider taking me on. Im planning on moving in july is there a time limit to find another job to continue my NVQ.

CSCS - Construction Skills Certification Scheme

this website should give you all the information you need, you cannot set foot on to a building site without a cscs card.

If you wish to work within the electrical industry on building sites you will need to get an ECS card, a CSCS will get you on site, but the chances are if it is a really big site on your induction day they will tell you only ECS holders can work on electrical systems.

you can get the card at any point and its real easy you would have to be a real div not to pass lol altho when i did mine there was a plumber failed it 3 times, think they took him out the back and shot him lol
