Whats the best way to wire i new kitchen ?

Ring main is on old circuit.

Can i use this and just replace cooker cable etc ?

Or would it be best to run a new ring for the kithen ?

Ifl it was me i'd just wire a new ring and all for the kitchen it could save you alot of hassel in the long run. Plus you will know for sure its done right then.

i have just done a kitchen at my mates house. i stripped out all old sockets and rewired between existing sockets on house ring main therefore having no connections that are not accessible. this was easy as the house was empty. i ran a 10mm t+e in for cooker circuit ( to be used for hob) and installed a 13a fused spur and low level socket on the kitchen ring main for the oven. existing bonds were only 4 mm so upgraded to 10mm. installed smoke and heat alarms and of course making sure that circuits are either protected by RCBO''s or a main RCD. Hope this helps. not sure if it was a rough guide u were after? :)
