The good thing is you can now get rid of the sidebar

If you click "New Posts" on the secondary menu, you will get a page similar to the old style ("Whats New") format plus the re-introduction of the side-bar ON/OFF toggle (double right arrow >>) on the top right hand side of the side-bar. Hallelujah! sanity has been restored, many thanks Dan and/or Jason.
