new meter box

hi peeps.................just got a job, full bungalow rewire, needs new service head fitting as existing overhead feed is dangerously old..................TT system, anyway the old meter is in the bathroom in the property???!!!!!.....along with the old CU..................the meter will need to be put in an external meter cupboard so they have said.
Central networks have quoted 900 quid for this to be moved, customer needs to supply cupboard too.
they have asked me for guidance on this, ie regarding fitting meter cupboard etc. I have paperwork central networks sent to customer, however the existing feeds to the property look dodgy...................will property owner be liable for this bill if it is unsafe?
any pointers greatly appreciated.................also with fitting cabinet too?
I will be putting new CU in hallway, so this is no problem, its just info on meter?

if i can grasp at what your saying is that DNO is re-routing supply to a new termination outside in a wall box, and your refitting the property with new CU and supply from Meter..!!

the DNO are liable for damaged, faulty cables 100% of time... unless you have touched them then they will chase you for payment and probably try to get you charged via the courts!!!

yes u are right, have not touched cables either....................this was picked up on house survey..........they look really old and dated and dangerous?
Also have u ever had to fit new box outside for DNO to re-route supply?
I can source a box, just not fitted one before......................have dimensions on heights etc from DNO on paperwork regarding this and it will not be too difficult to do..........................just wondered if anybody else has done this?
