New Seaward Apollo

Hi everyone, Has anyone bought the new Seaward Apollo yet ? If so is Seaward still selling it with the old software. I heard they were updating the software to work with the Apollo so you can use the Risk Assesment function of the Pat Tester.

I have an Apollo 600 on order however I believe its not out at distributors yet. As I understand it, it will only work with their new software PAT Guard 3.

Hi Patdev, yes PAT Guard 3 will be sold as 1 yearly licence up until they modify the Patguard 3 software. I went to one of their meetings a Last month for the new code of practice, and they phoned me a day later asking if I was interested in buying the Apollo. I asked them if they had the software upgrade, and they told me no they would be selling them with Patguard 3 on a yearly licence. I said I would look into buying one when they have the correct software that should go and have all the functions of their new Apollo.

Is it me or do I get the feeling this is going the same way as Megger 1700 series ie a rush to get it out needing software updates before it comes out. Mmmmmm i get the impression the sales people are rushing it out where developement is saying we aint ready yet
