Hi all, after a bit of advice. Im running a new feed for a shower, its running up an external wall of the house. Its a 10KW shower so running at about 44 amps, so using a 50A breaker and would 6mm Swa be adequate or should I use 10mm.
Cheers.

Hi essexman,

If you are using twin and earth its should be done in 10mm, but depending on the distance, the 6mm SWA cable should be able to handle it, because SWA has a better current carrying capacity than T and E

Is it a long cable run??

Hope this helps?

Hi, Thanks for reply, Its only about 10 - 15 m run, so not much voltage drop to worry about. There's all new decorating and laminate down on floors ( They forgot about shower ) so hence not runnning through house in T & E.
Cheers.
