You have experience with >50kW biomass not RHI approved yet? You understand the industry is very fluid and things take time.

There is nothing wrong with lead generation sites, I would think you would be more against cold calling? Each to their own I expect.

i wouldn't send a client, I placed this here to help the forum cruiser looking at websites like this and compiling returns in research.

I have my own excel spreadsheets I use when sitting down with clients explaining the benefits of solar. This is a tool...

it's not that accurate, probably based on MCS tables, it gives the same generation for Leeds vs halifax as in the same region, but the generation won't be the same.

Have you seen how accurate the MCS irradiance excel data sheet is? It's about <5% on actual. I have yet to come across anything remotely accurate even pvsol.

I reckon PVGIS is pretty good for localised accuracy. Miles better than the MCS "regional" methodology which has the whole of Wales in one sector!

yes, I know exactly how accurate / inaccurate it is.

The base data is taken from PVGIS using 10% inverter and cable losses for a specific geographic location somewhere in the middle of each region.

In the Yorkshire region (East Penines) this data is from Sheffield. Within the region there are areas that are +/-10% variance in sunlight levels from the Sheffiled base data, meaning that all performance estimates calculated in those areas will be either 10% higher, or 10% lower than the actual estimate should be. All of them.

So if we were to use MCS for systems in the Penines we would knowingly be misleading customers into buying a system on the basis of performance estimates that were based on 10% higher annual irradiance levels than is actually the case for that geographic location.

Whereas if we used the direct geographically accurate satellite data from PVGIS then we create a geographically accurate estimate that removes that 10% error.

tbh if you specialise in large commercial roofs, it amazes me that you're championing something as inaccurate as the MCS look up tables - they were only ever intended as a basic starting point for the 0-50kWp market that MCS serves, it was always envisaged that companies working on bigger projects would use more accurate performance estimation methods. Well, it more frustrates me than amazes me.

Lol, most commercial arrays are 50kW which under my accreditation requires me to use the MCS method and illustrate this in the quotation.

Having acheived a large portfolio I am blessed by being able to extract an actual average irradiance level from my stock as well as using other methods. An example, I have a split East West 150kW and was able to accurate predict ?kWh it actual placed onto the grid. Another 250kW split South and East I was able to predict ?kWh it actually generated by using my own portfolio and combine pvsol expert

Again this calculator is for the tyre kicker cruising the interweb. I will also add to receive at least 3 quotations when looking into getting this home improvement.

150- SK10 55 East 45% west 10 degree pitch
250- BL5 75 south 25% East 8 degree pitch

You're the one who proclaimed this calculator as being the most accurate on the market, when it's nothing of the sort. Don;t complain when someone picks you up on that and points out that you're talking complete cobblers.
