All,

Just finished a Sunday call out replacing the tails for a client who had a massive water problem in their meter cupboard!

Planning on using a EIC but its going to have a lot of N/A's on it - could I use a MWC? The tests I conducted are IR, continuity, and on completion I tested the Ze at the CU.

I would use a mwc. Thats one of those jobs that sound complicated ie not minor, but is probably simpler then adding a couple of new sockets.

MWCs are for additions or alterations to an existing install...this doesn`t cover dis boards and as tails are feeding a dis board and final circuits associated with that board......would a MWC cut it?.........

If it was a direct like-for-like replacement.

If it was an upgrade from 16mm to 25mm and a larger CSA earthing conductor then there would be a good argument for an EIC as every characteristic will be altered (Ze, Zs, PFC etc.)

This would also be notifiable.

Yep. So lets say..16 for 16 like you say....then a MWC. 16 to 25.....full isp and test with all relevent paperwork....design characteristics being altered/different than recorded on the older certs etc........
